Join the Team

As a non-profit, we rely on our volunteers to provide the vision, leadership, strategy, and time needed to ensure that we meet our mission to inspire all ages to be engaged in the science of food and provide scholarships to those already working towards their degrees.

• Serve as a juror and review the applications – estimate of 4-6 hours March 3-30
• Join the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee: 2-10 hours monthly primarily January-May
• Join the Foundation’s fund-raising efforts: 2-5 hours monthly
• Help Plan an event: time commitment depends on event

Committee Structure

AUDITING COMMITTEE: Responsible for ensuring the annual audit is conducted in a satisfactory manner.
FINANCE COMMITTEE: Responsible for annual budget, for reviewing all financial
reports, and for presenting financial status to the Board.
DEVELOPMENT / FUND-RAISING COMMITTEE: Responsible for supporting all fund-raising events and identifying fund-raising opportunities.
GIVING COMMITTEE: Identifies and recommends giving opportunities. Manages the CFSF Competitive Scholarship Program.
GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE: Manages all changes to policies, bylaws, and call for board members.
MARKETING / COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE: Manages the
creation and distribution of marketing and communications materials.
